Yosemite, the beautiful to Santa Cruz, surfin'city

Yosemite National Park, another dream come true.
A day to remember. The "hike" up the Yosemite Upper waterfalls is actually more of a rock climbing experience.... During the 3 hours hike all the way up to the falls, we walked (and slided!) on rocks, soil, mud and snow. Beautiful landscape, the rocks are amazing so are the waterfalls. I must say that I am quite proud to have made it all the way up despite my two cracked ribs (that happens when you stubbornly try to ride two bikes at the same time)and not much training for such a hike. Another amazing day. David put the tent up (thanks Erick and Nishi!) and we feel asleep in Camp 4, exhausted but very happy.

In Santa Cruz, we stayed with Randy and Karrie and it was so good to see them again. We had a beautiful meal together and the next day they drove us around Santa Cruz in their Jeep, we saw the beaches, the surfing museum, hanged out on the beach and went body boarding before sunset. We stopped for appetizers (crab cakes and amazing smoked salmon) at the Crow's nest overlooking the Santa Cruz harbor. That night, we listenned to Randy and Karrie's wonderful travel stories drinking Bailey's and sitting outside in the hot tub under the moon....We also drove the Jeep around in the Redwoods State park, we can't get enough of the Redwoods...Thank you guys for being such generous, wonderful hosts.

Staying with Ryan and Steph, having an amazing time surfing, drinking red wine and eating outside in the sun. Thanks a million for your hospitality !
