We arrived in Vancouver by night and stayed with Erik in Commercial Drive. Erik kindly opened his doors for us and we had a great stay thanks to him and his flatmate. We spent time walking around the Olympic Village and we mingled with absolute strangers (Marc and Melody) who invited us to stay with them in Washington State. We enjoyed the performances at Quebec House, a glass of wine and watching the Olympic events on the big screen. We walked through Granville Island and watched the street performances, the food market, glass blowing and stopped for a few glasses of Sake. Canada winning the gold medal for Ice Hockey on Sunday was the peak of our stay in Van.
